So I found out about KidRobot's Pirate Store on the second to last day before it was due to close in Chicago. This is especially funny since I made sure to visit both the New York and San Francisco stores when I was in those cities...yet I miss the one in my own back yard.
No worries though. For the poorly informed such as myself, the pirate store had a grand store closing sale with everything 50% off. So I still managed to get some great figures on the last day, while getting to say goodbye to the little kid pirate before he boarded his robot ship and set sail, probably looking for a new city to invade. Although, if rumors can be trusted, KidRobot may very well be invading just down the street on Michigan Avenue. Now that would be absolutely awesome! But I'm sure I won't hear about it until a year after it's happened. News travels my way very very slowly...
